Alona Bondarenko bio
Alona Bondarenko was born on August 13th 1984, in Kryvyi Rih, Ukrania, former USSR.
Her best singles ranking ever is 19, a feat she achieved back in 2008. She has two WTA-level titles, won in Luxembourg 2006 and Hobart (Australia) 2010. Alona Bondarenko usually plays well in that place, as the previous year she reached the doubles final, losing to Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta.
Although a former top-20, this hot tennis player is probably most recognized by her superb “Keep It Pure” advertisement she made for K-Swiss. Some of her friends reportedly told her she looked like Anna Kournikova in that picture, which was taken in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Alona Bondarenko is also a talented doubles player, as she won the 2008 Australian Open with her younger sister Kateryna, beating Victoria Azarenka and Shahar Peer in the final round. She has one ITF title and three WTA (including the aussie Grand Slam) titles with her. She also used to pair with her older sister Valeria, with whom she won four ITF doubles titles in the beginning of her career.
Alona Bondarenko is (unfortunately) married, to her coach Nikolay Dyachok, since 2010.
