Our number 14 is the russian Olga Puchkova!
Olga Puchkova bio
The former Belarussian, aka Olga Poutchkova, is a hot-tennis-player-turned-model who had a very promising start of her career, as she was one of the best juniors at her time. She was world number 1 in the under-12 rankings, and her debut at international under-18 tournaments was made at the very early age of 12.
Olga Puchkova debuted at a professional tournament before her fifteenth birthday, and reached a couple of quarter-finals in two of the four tournaments she played at Australia back then. She won her first professional tournament when 15-years-old, at Baltimore. In 2005, Olga Puchkova was beaten at the final of an ITF tournament by fellow hot tennis player Ashley Harkleroad.
She reached two finals of WTA Tour tournaments. In Koltaka, India, she was beaten by the former world number 1 and also child prodigy Martina Hingis. In Quebec City, Canada, she was beaten by Marion Bartoli. Both finals were in 2006.
Olga Puchkova was once the number 32 in the world (2007), but as her fame grew, her modeling career started to take over (no wonder why) and her rankings declined soon after, getting her way out of the top-100.
